We are a small, family-owned business based out of North Carolina, USA. Our team consists of L & A & A (Mom and Daughter & Daughter).
We founded Carbon Noir Soap Company with one goal in mind: help clean up our acts after using toxin-riddled soaps to “wash” ourselves with for decades by introducing our simple yet powerful organic cleansing bars made with Shungite Powder, Fulvic and Humic Acids, Bentonite Clay, Collagen, Honey, and organic essential oils. We are as picky as Shungite is mighty!
Carbon Noir Soap Company got "Carbon" in it's name due to the carbonfullerenes that give Shungite it's amazing benefits. We are also carbon-based beings, which we believe is why Shungite is so important for us. The "Noir" comes from the fact that Shungite is black in color. The "soap company" is pretty self-explanatory, thus "Carbon Noir Soap Company" was born!
Our origin story is that like many others - a troublesome medical event lead to some intense lifestyle changes, which ultimately lead to becoming more conscious about the products we use as consumers. Our first shungite bars were sold on an old Etsy shop, where they gained popularity. The more that L (owner, founder) learned about and personally used Shungite, the more focus was put on Shungite - and here we are. When L first started making Shungite soaps, there was only 1 or 2 shops (in Russia) that sold similar products online. Now, there are more, which makes L very happy! We want the normalization of Shungite to occur in every home, regardless of where it is purchased. Shungite is too beneficial to not be shared by all.
Please note that the cost of each bar reflects the cost of the ingredients and shipping materials. We price our soaps low considering the cost of everything and competition. We offer many ways to save, so many sure you take advantage of our loyalty program, subscriptions, and subscribe to updates to be notified of sales!
We also aim for plastic-free packaging, so we aim to ship with either recycled plastic materials or no plastic at all. (Please note: this does not happen for every order based on supplies on-hand). Products shipped from our design warehouse (ie: phone case, hoodie, shirts, tumblers, etc) may contain plastic packaging.
